Sanrio, the company behind Hello Kitty, has teamed with Forever 21 to create Hello Kitty Forever, a line of apparel, accessories, and home décor expected to hit stores and online November 16. This is not the first time the two companies have joined forces, but it is Forever 21’s first foray into home décor, and the brand is stoked about having partnered with Sanrio for such an endeavor.
Said Forever 21 Global Marketing Director, Linda Chang: After a very successful partnership with Sanrio last year, we are extremely excited to launch our second Hello Kitty collaboration with the band. The collection is representative of our first launch into home, while still incorporating an array of pieces that are on-trend and appealing to both Forever 21 and Sanrio shoppers.
And while “on-trend” might be a slight exaggeration, the pieces are a far cry from kitschy graphic tees that one might expect from anything related to Hello Kitty. Rather, the collection features blouses, bedding, and scarves rendered in Versace-esque, baroque prints that slyly incorporate Sanrio’s cast of characters, from Hello Kitty and Chococat to Badtz-Mandu. Yep, the gang’s all here–are you on board?
