Just when you finally achieved that perfect summer glow, the Debbie Downers over at Superdrug want to remind you of the dangers of sun damage on the skin. Thanks.
With the help of the British Association of Dermatologists, the beauty e-tailer just released a new App that allows you to see the effects of said sun damage on your skin in 5, 15 and 25 years (presumably, to sell more of their products). If you’re a sadist, this is how it works: just upload an image of yourself, answer a few questions like “How often do you use sunbeds?” (Never, Once A Week, More Than 3 Times A Week) and “What SPF Sunscreen Do You Wear?” and BAM it generates an ugly, wrinkled, mole-y version of your face.
In a photo courtesy of the Daily Mail and Reuters (above), sun worshipers can gawk at projected photos of Kate Middleton, rather then themselves. The Daily Mail also pays tribute to Pippa Middleton, who single-handedly caused a spike in the sale of self-tanner after the royal wedding, and famously uptight Brit Victoria Beckham. Cheers!
