The story: Look good and do good. In a partnership with hipster, NYC-based
brand Rogan, eco-friendly Loomstate made a significant splash in the denim
scene. Loomstate is a member of a cultural movement toward a sustainable
future. Their cotton is pesticide- and synthetic fertilizer-free, and
they're focused on both making beautiful clothes and supporting organic
farming.
The Fit: Utterly wearable and not ultra-tight., these jeans curve around
the hips with a fit that allows you to make your move.
The Details: Loomstate's deep indigo with faint copper undertones Flux
Slim-Leg Jean, features fading on thighs and seat, crinkling, hand-stitched
hems, slanted belt loop at back, polka dot lining in the pockets, and
the cute little tag on your fly that says "Nature Calls."
Fans: Loomstate denim has been singled out for their great style (and
great eco-politics) by InStyle, Harper's Bazaar and Vanity Fair.
The Story: Paige Adams-Gellar, the denim industry's most requested fit
model, worked for over a decade with brands such as Seven, Citizens of
humanity, True Religion, and more. Paige channeled her insight to create
a smart line of jeans meant for women rather than waifs. "Most of us weren't
blessed with perfect genes," says Paige, "but we're bringing you the next
best thing: perfect jeans."

.: What: Antik Denim - wild wild
west meets thoroughly modern cowboy
The Story: Los Angeles-based Antik
Denim codesigners Alexandre Caugant and Philippe Naouri (formerly of Diesel and Levi's),
and the denim tycoon, Paul Guez, joined forces to create a new concept in jeans.
Every pair is different, so there's no more "who cares, they all look the same" approach
to denim design.
The Fit: Antik Denim's comfortable laid-back fit and premium rough-hewn material has
raised the bar among its devotees.
The Details: This vintage denim is fondly based on antique (get it, Antik?) Western and workwear
design. Each pair is decorated with hand detailing pretty much everywhere: from
the pockets, to the sides, down to the hems, with whipstitch trim and leather
patches. If that wasn't enough, quality Japanese and Italian fabrics are used
for the utmost in comfort. Things never looked this good up on Brokeback.
Fans: Red Carpet celebrities who don the threads include: Johnny Depp, Kate Hudson, Cameron
Diaz, Teri Hatcher, Julia Roberts, Hilary
Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Ashlee Simpson, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, Eva Longoria, Jennifer

The Story: Although it would have been easier not to do so, Butterfly
Jeans Designer & founder Sam Keungmanivong's chose the road
less traveled, insisting on having every jean manufactured in the U.S.
by skilled workers who specializes primarily in denim using high quality
materials.
The Fit: Tailored fit, comfort around the waist and butt for
a broken-in feel, and slim through the legs.
The Details: Backsides sport red-orange embroidered "J" pockets
and vintage thread stitching. Imported Japanese fabric, with
its unique texture and weaving, creates a sophisticated look
and feel to the finished product. The jeans are rinsed in Butterfly
Blue color and distressed. Each pair sports a leather butterfly
patch.
Fans: A hit among young, contemporary women since 2002, you
can find Butterfly Jeans on trendy fashionistas in the US and

The Story:J
Brand is the brainchild of LA-based denim manufacturer Jeff Rudes and Celebrity stylist
Susie Crippen. The two set out to create a classic and sophisticated jean with
the emphasis on fit while tending to one mandate: no excess hardware or embellishments.
With an emphasis on stitching details and clean dark finishes, together they
created a line that combines sexy and style.

Fit: Coming in black and an inky blue, in a not-too-low waist, the cotton is as soft
as if you are wearing leggings, and through some mystical ingredient this denim
seems to thin out and lengthen your legs. J Brand is known for a skinny straight
leg cut. Choose from 12" pencil, 14" cigarette, or 16" straight leg openings.
The styles all fit neatly in your boots or long and lean over your stilettos.
The Details: The simplicity of J Brand is the key - no back pocket design, no tears and holes,
