A Find: SMART SHAVE

Category:

It’s ironic isn’t it? In pursuit of smooth, bare skin we subject ourselves to sharp metal razors and hot waxes that leave our skin dotted with unattractive ingrown hairs, razor bumps and razor burns. Not exactly the flawless look we want. Fortunately, thanks to the Smart Shave System, healthy, hair free skin doesn’t have to be out of reach.

The Smart Shave System is a three step system, designed to complement shaving and waxing, created by Dr. Sherwin Parikh, a Harvard and Columbia trained, board-certified dermatologist. How does it work? Well, pre shaving/waxing the Exfoliating Pads bring stubble to the surface and removing the dead skin that traps ingrown hair, making hair removal easier. The Shaving Cream protects skin during shaving. Its slick formulation takes some getting used to, but unlike other creams it doesn’t clog your razor, making shaving easier. For people who wax, the shaving cream is an ideal pre-and post waxing cleanser because its antibacterial formula removes bacteria that can infect open pores. Lastly, the Calming Balm hydrates and tones skin while reducing redness and inflammation post hair removal.

Combined, the system smoothes out rough skin, attacks bump-causing bacteria, calms irritation and softens stubble leaving behind nothing but beautiful bare skin, while only taking on a couple of minutes to your normal hair removal routine. It’s no wonder we love this stuff.

One complete Smart Shave System, retails for $34 dollars, and will last through 60 uses. You can also purchase each part of the system individually at tribecaskinscience.com.

I have tried this myself and I think this product is fantastic. I am getting the best shaves of my life with zero irritation !!! And I have tried EVERYTHING. Most recently I have been using an expensive super badger brush and traditional english creams from purveyors like George Trumper, Taylors, etc. These worked well but the consistency of the Smart Shave system beats 'em all. Highly recommended.
