Shea butter - the linchpin of eco-conscious bath and body products.  Here’s more of our Shea Butter Bests series. 

The best shea based moisturizer for the body was a tough call. There are many good shea-based lotions and crèmes available. For pure shea butter, you can't go wrong with Shea Terra's East African Shea Butter from Uganda.  Whipped Shea Butter is good for light moisturizing.  Product Body has my favorite whipped shea butter. Bath by Bettijo carries slightly lighter pure, unrefined whipped butter. Bath & Body by Tracy adds mango butter and a natural scent to die for. Product Body also makes a fabulous body cream infused with shea butter and other ingredients. 

One product rises above them all: Arbre de Vie's Extra Moisturizing Body Lotion.  It goes on light, stays on for hours, keeps my skin soft with only a touch of natural scent. It's perfect for the colder, drier months ahead.
