Good Question: Where to Find Fall’s Wide Leg Styles in the Mall

Aug 09, 2007

Question: Anyone know where high-waisted wide-leg pants or jeans can be found in mall-type stores? I reeeaaally want some!

Answer: Of course we do! This is fall's hottest look in terms of pants and we're already aching for the weather to cool off so we can throw on some of these awesomely comfortable styles.  We're assuming that when you say "mall stores" you mean places like J. Crew, Gap, Banana Republic, Guess, Macy's or JC Penny's? You're in luck because all of these stores will have something you'll love. Here are our favorites:

* Career Cool: The Mimi Chica High-Waist Wide-Leg Pant, $48 at Macy's, is adorned with three adorable buttons up the front zipper for a unique touch.

* Weekend Warrior: Banana Republic's Martin wide-leg trouser in soft wheat is a cool khaki for the weekend, or it can double up as part of your Casual Friday wardrobe. Find them for $88 at Banana Republic.

Banana Republic Martin wide-leg trouser - Soft wheat

* Cheap 'n Chic: If you have a NY and Co. near you, check out their Grand Central Pant that puts you back a mere $34.95 or stop by your local Old Navy—they make an amazing pair of herringbone trousers for only $25.

Thanks for the great answer! I'll be checking out some of those stores this weekend. Unfortunetly since I live in Canada I don't have them all- but if I find more at any other stores I will report back!

I have noticed that there are very cute wide leg, high waisted trousers for women on HSN.COM. I'm going to try Antthony's wide leg city slacks. Tres cute! wink

The best wideleg jeans I've found are designed by a Los Angeles based company called Era of Choas. They're made from Italian denim, so they're super-soft and stretchy. The rise is a few inches higher than most jeans, which helps hold in any extra pounds and create a really long, sleek line. Plus, the dark denim wash called Magnolia runs about two sizes big...and who doesn't love buying smaller jeans?!
You can find them at http://www.lfstores.com.
