It's not often we can steal celebrity style outright. Sure, we can track down the designers our favorite starlets are sporting, then find the boutiques that carry their limited edition styles. But when we flip over the price tags—whammo!—we're hit with the realization that star style is a little out of our league...and our budget. That's not so with red-hot jewelry line Kipepeo, however. A pair of earrings from this fave of Nelly Furtado, Nicole Richie, and Lucy Liu will set you back about the price of dinner and movie—not a BMW convertible. Kipepeo's been featured in all the top fashion mags and at countless celeb-laced events; score a pair of their ethnic looking earrings for yourself and get star-worthy sparkle of the non-knockoff variety.
Celebrate cherry blossom season with the lovely Sakura hoops ($129) Anne Hathaway and Alicia Keys love. The bloom-adorned circles offer up a fresh take on traditional gold hoops. Cameron Diaz has worn embossed Lily dangles ($106) with an artsy chinoiserie feel. And Paris Hilton rocked dramatic jewel drop Lakoni chandeliers ($156) in sprightly celadon-hued citrine.
We love the intricate but totally wearable pairs that can dress up any outfit with a bit of gleaming gold. Our picks: the Dahlia discs ($79) that look like gold-dipped Italian pizzelle cookies; the ornate Zanzi Chimes ($180) with a slight Indian flair; and the silver Roundel earrings ($40) that are both dainty and industrial-looking at the same time.

It's spring, and all the trees are budding with new leaves. What better way to celebrate than with a leafy necklace? Both of these necklaces are stunning, but one costs twice as much as the other. Can you guess which is which? Test your Fashion IQ with other Taste Tests.

It's not always practical to invest in dramatic, expensive baubles, but with the statement-making bijoux trend heating up, it can be an urge that's hard to resist. Luckily, designers like innovative Londoner Mawi Keivom are making it possible to make an impact with your jewelry without making an impact on your wallet. Her bright, slightly skewed pieces have a vintage vibe that makes it feel like you're playing dress-up in your grandma's jewels… if your grandma is Jane Jetson. The plunging rectangular link necklace ($373, was $745) is a study in glam asymmetry, with a single fuchsia bit catching the eye and throwing things off balance (beautifully, of course!) Faceted smokey quartz, amethyst, and citrine beads add a delicate touch to masculine chain strand that hangs at a low-swinging 23 inches.
The bright violet stones on Mawi's triple strand bracelet ($185, was $370) pop amongst pearly acrylic, gray-brown quartz, and lovely beige-y crystals. Use this bangle to give an artsy edge to your LBD, or to dress up jeans and a fitted tee.
Acrylic: bad for fingernails, great for edgy chandelier earrings. The taupe acrylic rectangles on these droplet earrings ($80, were $160) are in contemporary contrast with the opulent canary yellow and magenta stones encircled by tiny pavé-style crystals. Traditional chandeliers get a modern, minimalist twist in this chic and sophisticated pair.

As the layers we're wearing become lighter, we’re finding ourselves gravitating away from the heavy baubles that stood up to our wool sweaters and towards simpler, sweeter jewelry. This necklace is the ideal complement to lighter spring fare: the delicate filigree and pearl details make it more interesting than any old gold chain, and it’s long enough to double over again should you want an even more layered look. In short, the sort of necklace we wear for a few weeks before realizing we’re neglecting the rest of our jewelry. How much would you shell out for a versatile addition to your jewelry box? Click on the image to see how much this one costs.

I rarely read any of the catalogs that somehow manage to find their way to my mailbox - it's funny, I don't remember signing up for most of them. But I must confess that lately I actually look forward to getting my J.Crew catalog (although, J. Crew is among the guiltiest of the bunch when it comes to wasting that paper). When it comes to design, my own inner prepster swoons every season over their argyles and A-line dresses, but I am particularly blown away by this jewelry collection, which seems to have come out of nowhere. The pieces are unique and expensive looking without costing a fortune. Just in case you've been living on another planet for the last few months and haven't seen the collection, allow me to introduce you to it:
1. Jeweled Starburst Cuff Bracelet ($150): A dramatic piece in bright summer colors with hand-painted resin and Czech-glass beads arranged on 18k gold plated metal. Simply stunning.
2. Wood Bead & Fireball Necklace ($98): Wood beads are very much back in style (as seen in our guide to Celeb Jewelry). J.Crew spices this beaded strand up a little with some interspersed rhinestone "fireballs" that give the necklace a more glamorous and less earthy appeal.
3. Bubble Necklace ($150): Do yourself a favor and get yourself a statement necklace this season. This bubble necklace made of hand-set enamel stones and beads will make you an instant fashionista. I like to wear mine with a $5 Hanes T-shirt—it still makes me look like a million bucks!
4. Cabochon Bouquet Cocktail Ring ($65): Another statement to be made is on your ring finger. How fun is this cocktail ring with candy-colored resin stones? 5. Diamond Mosaic Enamel Bangle ($78): Just one of the many beautiful hand-painted enamel bangles that you can find on JCrew.com. I love this mosaic style but they also have cool ones in animal prints.

I dropped into Target last Saturday with the intention of scoping out the much publicized Jovovich-Hawk line. I must admit I've been somewhat disappointed in the past few designer collections - they've all just looked so, well, cheap. Which is silly I know since they are being offered at Target, but I don't recall the earlier designers' wares looking this shoddy or disjointed. I was hoping Jovovich-Hawk would raise the bar. Unfortunately, what was left of the goods was nothing to write home about - flimsy fabrics, sloppy cuts, and juvenile prints - and I almost walked out empty handed, which is something that never happens at Target. Until I came across Subversive's jewelry collection. I suddenly got so giddy at how pretty, and not cheap each piece looked. Now with a price range up to $60, this is Target's most expensive jewelry line to boot, but if you compare some of these pieces to Justin Giunta's main collection, you'll see they bear a striking resemblance. Finally, a Target designer that doesn't disappoint. Below are our top 5 favorites from the collection.
1. This goldtone cluster necklace ($60) is the perfect statement piece to wear with your LBD, or even jeans and a plain white tee.
2. For something a touch more subtle but still packed full of flair, try this edgy drop pendant necklace ($40).
3. I am now the proud owner of one of these Bauhaus block bracelets ($15), and it has not left my wrist for the past few days. Its bright colors and geometric shapes are both spring trend appropriate and surprisingly versatile. 4. Whip out something unexpected the next time you dress up, and opt for this eclectic ribbon and chain bracelet ($20).
5. These whimscial bird locket earrings ($18) are understated enough to wear during the day, or out all night long.

The New York Times (no, not my bastion of fashion, but a reputable source nonetheless) recently reported on a growing trend in the world of high end jewelry in a piece called, “Pearls That Start, and End, With Grit”. Jewelry designers at Justin Giunta, Louis Vuitton, and Tom Binns have taken to dirtying up (if you will) the classically pure pearl by mixing in materials like crystal, brass, and silk cord. The results are several stunning necklaces that feel a little Park Avenue and a lot East Village. Yes, they’re gorgeous, and by all means drop five grand on a designer set of Black Sea pearls accented with multicolor sapphires, if that’s how you roll. It’s a great look! But personally, I’ve been dressing down my $10 strand of white pearl(ish beads) and funking up my favorite t-shirts for years already. Here are a couple of suggestions on how you can work these jewels from the deep into your everyday wear, without digging too deep into your pockets: The baby pink ribbon and delicate pearls on this Lanvin necklace ($670) make it a true keepsake. But make sure not to take this strand too seriously. Instead, use it to flirt up Urban Outfitter’s delightfully grandpa-like cardigan ($54). Etsy artist KenSanKofa offers this multi-strand Sweet Fresh Water Pearl and Unakite Necklace ($39), which would fit nicely with the punky Urban Outfitters Mr. Bluebird sheath dress ($68). Or, don’t be afraid to make a real statement! Nothing mixes the hard-edged with the feminine like the pairing of a few strands of these simple copper pearls ($10) with your favorite graphic tee. My current fave is Old Navy's Peace Tee ($14.50).

We were all over the recent standout cocktail ring trend that let us turn simple outfits into fashion statements just by sliding on some bling. Now we’re noticing statement necklaces, brooches and rings – like the ones we saw on the ladies of Lipstick Jungle last night – that make simple outfits look like you tried much harder than you really did. We especially love their bold necklaces that fall from about the collarbone to the middle of the chest, avoiding all that confusion that accompanied the superlong necklace trend (Do you knot it? Double it up? Wear it to your knees?). Below, three of our favorite incarnations of the trend statement-necklace, plus some less pricey alternatives.
This Burnished Oval Necklace (was $550, now $275) can be worn over a round-neck t-shirt for some unexpected glamour, or framed by a low-cut dress to add to a more formal look.
The irregularly shaped pearls and smattering of bronze on this freshwater-and-keshi pearl necklace ($233.75) make it modern, so you don’t risk looking like your grandmother – even if you throw it on over a cashmere cardigan.
Vera Wang’s Glass Segment Necklace ($975) has an adjustable-length gold cord – tailor the length to work with whatever top you’re wearing.
To achieve a similar look for less, try layering some of Forever 21’s impossibly inexpensive necklaces – we especially like the Soho Necklace ($7.80) and the Geo Shape Necklace ($6.80)
