Fashion Find: Jeans High In The Back To Protect Your Crack

Category: Fashion Jeans Trend Alert

Who doesn't love plumbers? They fix our sinks, keep our pipes clean, and wear nifty belts packed with tools for all purposes. So we don't think it's fair that every time a plumber bends over to do his job, his low-riding jeans drop down to--how to put this politely?--unsightly depths. Come to think of it, I've been known to expose a fanny cranny here and there, too. The fact is, whether to plug a leak or pick up a toddler, people bend down all the time. Finally there's a jean that'll keep you decent when you do.

What: Radcliffe Denim 3" Jeans

Why: London-based designer Suzy Radcliffe offers jeans in lots of different styles (wide leg, skinny, boot-cut, etc.), but all her pants share one crucial detail: the waistband rises three inches higher in the back.

As you can see with these Gray Wide Leg Jeans (were $180, now $90), even if you wore your jeans to yoga class, your thong wouldn't pop out.

Likewise, these skinny jeans in black ($179) drop to where you want them in front (just below the navel), then rise high around the back. According to Radcliffe, she achieved this perfect fit by contouring the waistband, widening the yoke in the back, and dropping and angling the pockets. Another amazing innovation is Radcliffe's detachable satin stirrup, which keeps the bottom of these skinny jeans tucked neatly inside your boot.

Get Yours: Get jeans fresh from the factory at radcliffedenim.com, or shop Yoox.com for past styles.

Still need help covering the backside? Check out some nifty SheFinds Solutions
