European women are known for their exceptional style, but who says they aren't getting a little help from tastemakers at hot boutiques? Go a little Euro - sans the pricey weekend in Paris, London or Milan - with a little help from these European shops that sell their wares online to Americans:

http://www.bodenusa.com/
Scoop up some of this season's trendy tweed and other no-nonsense pieces from the Brits who do it best on the U.K.'s Boden. The Web site, which began selling to American customers in April, offers twists on English favorites, including pink and olive herringbone heels, and a needlecord short coat with a faux fur collar. You can also find English classics like trousers and overcoats.

Wish you were scouting new looks at this week's London fashion shows, instead of the racks at Banana? Get the next best thing in just a few keystrokes at Net-a-Porter. The British high fashion Web site features exclusive pieces from Chloe, and boasts hot finds like Narciso Rodriguez evening gowns and Jimmy Choo Peony leather boots. Scour this site often for pieces you can't find at boutiques.

"Figleaves stocks a range of top European brands that are hard to come by," says spokeswoman Elisa Delijani. Hard-to-find finds include frisky undies from Emporiana (currently showing at London Fashion Week), Sarah Fisk (whose tap pants, camis and bras run $60-$100), Damaris and Simone Perele.

If your fashion taste tends toward the other side of the Channel, try surfing Azimut-Vintage, the newly christened Web site of a Parisian vintage boutique owned by former model Aziyade Mimran. The site features one-of-a-kind fashion finds like Yves Saint Laurent leather pumps and a Givenchy bustier cocktail dress, and even has specific measurements to ensure a perfect fit.

Nobody does leather like the Italians, but finding high-quality products without the hefty price tag is impossible in the U.S. Skip the middlemen, and pick up a fall staple - kidskin gloves - directly from the Florentines who make them. A pair of midlength cashmere kidskin gloves costs $65, and will arrive in two weeks or less. The Web site also offers silk and wool-lined pairs, all available in a brilliant palette of colors, some of which only an Italian would dare wear.

If you're hesitant to shop online because you can't closely inspect the clothing, try out this Italian Web site. Along with a fantastic selection of high-end European designer wear, much at discount prices, the Web site has zoom and rotate tools that bring the clothing to life. Also check the "Final Sale Section" for deeply marked-down pieces from high-fashion houses such as Costume National and Versace.

New in the U.S.

New shopping sites here pop up faster than celeb weddings. The best feature stylish goods in an easy-to-find format. Here, a few new Web gems:

http://www.shefinds.com/
The NYC-based site, launched in February, offers a personal shopping service for the woman who knows what she wants - just not where to find it. Web master Michelle Madhok (illustrated on the site, r.) will point you in the right direction - whether it's toward eBay or a chic boutique. The site gets a small commission from steering shoppers to stores, but shops have no say in getting chosen. The service costs $20 the first time and $10 every time thereafter.

www.ishopblush.com
Style-conscious shoppers in Washington, D.C., already know about the women's boutique Blush. Now the store has expanded to a site that features merch from more than 25 designers, from Alvin Valley to Rebecca Taylor. Find cashmerefrom White + Warren, bags from Ugg Australia and separates from Chaiken.

http://www.shopseptembervogue.com/
For the first time ever, Vogue is giving its readers the chance to purchase items from its stunning 832-page fall issue by logging on to their online shopping site. Simply click on any featured advertising product, such as Gucci's G-Mini watch, and you'll receive a full description, price and link where you can either purchase the product directly or get a list of nearby locations that sell your selection. The E-shop runs live through Oct. 31.

http://www.shopetc.com/
The newly launched magazine Shop, Etc. touts a similar shopping service. Readers can go to the monthly's Web site, click on the "shop this issue" link and get product information as well as links to sites where they can buy their selection. Unlike Vogue's site, which features only products from its September issue, Shop's items are updated monthly and are separated into fashion, home and beauty sections. Customers can also create a wish list of their preferred items before making a final purchase.
