SheFinds.com "It" Bags
Ladies,
We've got serious handbag fever. At SheFinds we believe that if you're going to splurge it ought to be on a luscious designer bag. Like driving a Mercedes or flying first class if you can afford it, a luxury bag is worth the extra expense. To get a handle on hot handbags we turned to Julie Hall a long-time handbag enthusiast who obsessively covers the latest and greatest handbags on Purseuing.com.
Below are the "it" bags Julie (and SheFinds) craves.
Love,
SheFinds

Louis Vuitton offers a fresh take on the popular Monogram Canvas line with the Monogram Cerises. Each bag in the Cerises collection sports a set of red, smiling cherries adding some color to the normally brown and tan Monogram print. Watch the other designers fall all over themselves trying to come up with something half as iconic as this. Jessica Simpson's already been spotted with a Monogram Cerise slung over her shoulder.
If the Vuitton is out of your reach - consider the Coach Optic Signature with the new Ladybug Appliqué. Similar to the Cerises with its cherries, the Coach put's a spin on it's Signature Jacquard purse with red, dainty ladybugs.
There are a few things about this Juicy satchel that make it an "it" bag for the spring season. First off, its metallic. Metallic leather handbags can be worn tastefully in gold, silver and a few other choice colors, pink being my favorite. We also love the Juicy charm heart tag hanging from the chain top handles. Juicy bags are famous for this feature and many other handbag makers have followed their lead.
If you just want a spring fling grab the Luca Gold Shoulder Bag from Target. For a mere $36 you can tap into the metallic trend. More style than substance - this bag is a Juicy inspired hobo-style handbag crafted of perforated faux leather with a disco sheen.
The hottest bag in town is the Chloe Paddington.
Selling for $1,380, the Paddington hobo style shoulder bag sports hardware in an oxidized-looking gold. It's sold out on net-a-porter.com and forty customers signed a waiting list at New York's Saks Fifth Avenue before it hit the store. Maybe Kate Moss will lend you hers. Update: it's available again in three new colors at net-a-porter.com . But hurry before these sell out too.
Skip the waitlist for the Chloe and choose this large, faux leather Paddington-style bag from celeb copy-cat site asos.com. The roomy interior will hold all your essentials while the heavy padlock, buckles and studs give it a designer feel and for a mere $52.07 you can tap into the trend.
To have a list of "it" bags of the season and not include the Detective Bag from Christian Dior would be criminal. This frame-shaped purse in red is a gorgeous way to accessorize your spring wardrobe. The exterior of the bag features oversized "C" and "D" charms while the inside is lined in tan and white logo flowers. The leather Detective has been spotted in the hands of celebrities such as Christina Aguilera and Uma Thurman. This Dior will set you back $1650.
If your bank balance is already in the red you can save a few hundred dollars and choose the MAXX New York Tassel Double Shoulder Frame bag that is close in shape and style to the Dior Detective bag. Made of glazed leather, the bag has gold hardware the Maxx New York bag has two pockets on its exterior and stands on protective metal feet.
The Balenciaga hit the scene in 2001, but it remains a must have for the "A-list." Ashley Olsen's rarely seen without her much-coveted sea foam Balenciaga bag, Gwyneth has a black one and Nicky Hilton carried a glitzy fuschia version to the Vanity Fair Oscars party. The bag retails for over $1500 dollars and is largely sold out. Fakes abound so be very careful when making a purchase outside of a reputable store. We hear that aloharag sells authentic bags and there are a bunch of Balenciagas on ebay, but if the price is too good to be true it's probably a fake.
If you want the bobo chic look without the Balenciaga pricetag we like Botkier bags. The collection features eye-catching colors, such as buttercup and almond and lots of zippered pockets and tassels. Get one at botkier.com or score a deal on ebay.
