It's wedding season… But, who cares about the bride? What are YOU going to wear? Don’t worry, we've got you covered. Below are some etiquette tips and outfit picks to make you a well-dressed guest. There are really only two rules for dressing for a wedding: the first is to be festive and dressed right for the occasion. The second, most important rule is not to wear anything that would detract attention from the bride--this is her moment to be in the spotlight after all… and so your objective should be to look wonderful yourself but not outshine her.

Daytime Wedding
For a daytime ceremony wear a short dress or suit. If the wedding takes place in the morning it is even appropriate to wear business attire, although you should leave the power pinstripe suit at home. Try a chiffon or lace dress for daytime.
No-No's: No black, no sequins - cocktail-type dresses just aren't daywear. No hose with sandals, so if you need support get yourself a pair of Spanx. As always no ivory or white ensembles.

Evening
If the wedding takes place after 6 pm don your short cocktail frock and add on some glam accessories. You really can't go wrong with the little black dress, but if you want to add some zing go for a muted color like a blue chiffon strapless dress.
If the invitations says White Tie, it's time to break-out your Red Carpet attire. Get yourself a long gown add some extra glitz from Harry Winston and put your date in a tux.

The Wrap
Keep in mind if the ceremony is at a religious site, you don't want to show too much skin, so bring a shawl to cover your shoulders. You'll also be glad you have a wrap or light cardigan for weddings on the water where the air can turn cool after dark. Also, forget about what those magazine editors say, they and we still love our pashmina wraps.

The Bag
Carry a small, simple evening bag (the smaller the bag, the dressier it is) and you should be good-to-go. Pick one item that glitters and keep the rest of the outfit simple. Overdo it, and you'll blind the photographer.
