You know those pesky, mysterious holes that appear at the bottom of your shirt? They are definitely among the top ten most obnoxious clothing problems — sandwiched between broken zippers (arrgghhh) and yellowing pit stains on white t-shirts (noooo). They’re made all the more annoying by the confusing nature of their origin — Moths? Washer/dryer issues? Tiny hole-boring aliens? Whyyyy is this happening to our favorite tees?!?
The answer has something to do with the front button on your jeans — the small holes are the result of the bottom of your shirt rubbing against the button and a surface on the outside. For instance, the kitchen counter when washing dishes, your seat belt when driving… The culprit is the everyday!
Luckily, there are ways to avoid this dreaded shirt-on-jean friction. Namely, button-less pants, like yoga pants or a seamless version of jeggings. Not feeling spandex? Perfectly fine, just tuck the front of your shirt into your jeans. This look is actually trending, so don’t feel like you’re entering mom jean territory. Another option? CROP TOPS.
