Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie shocked pretty much everyone when they announced their divorce earlier this year. After eleven years and six children together, no one saw their split coming. If you’re still mourning the end of Brangelina, we know exactly how you can celebrate Hollywood’s former golden couple: a Mr. & Mrs. Smith Halloween costume! That’s right, take it back to the characters that started it all.
OK, so here’s a little refresher in case you forgot what the movie is about–it did come out 11 years ago! Or maybe you were just too distracted by Brad and Angie’s hotness to know what was going on. Totally get that. John (Brad Pitt) and Jane Smith (Angelina Jolie) are a married couple having problems. Secretly, they are both assassins but have been hiding their true professions from one another. After being assigned by their competing agencies to kill each other, they discover they are both assassins and end up falling back in love. Along the way, there are many near-death experiences, including one scene when the Smiths’ suburban home gets blown up. That’s what this costume will focus on.
You actually don’t need a ton of clothing for this costume ;). We’ll start with the ladies. For those of you dressing up as Jane Smith aka, Angelina Jolie, you will need an oversized button-down. If you don’t own one yet or can’t borrow from the boys, here’s a good one on sale from H&M.

To complete the look, you will need tall red rain boots. In the movie, Angelina wears a pair by Hunter. Some of you might own them already, but if you don’t, they are a great investment–you will definitely wear them IRL.

For the guys, you need is a v-neck white tee. We suggest Hanes because they are the comfiest and you can get 6 for less than $20. Sweet deal!
