It’s time for me to let something out of the proverbial (and literal) closet: I have a little “boot problem.†Some girls collect heels, I collect boots. And the tiny closet in my matchbox apartment has suffered for my love of large footwear. And my boots have suffered. The knee-highs flopped over the Docs while the cowboy boots bent in protest, creating unsightly wrinkles in the leather. But no more! Thanks to The Bootleg (23.00) from Creative Queen Enterprises. Essentially The Bootleg acts as a pair of legs, wearing my boots when I’m not. The mind-numbingly simple design has my boots standing at attention. If only I’d had The Bootleg before I ruined my major ‘investment,’ a pair of knee-high Gucci’s that have been relegated to casual wear due to creasing in the closet. Sure, I could have stuffed my boots with paper or cardboard, but who has the time? The Bootleg’s sleek satin cover fills my shoes instantly. So light, they’re perfect to pack, keeping boots shapely when traveling.
