Little did I know that when I put off my regular trim and treatment back in January that I wouldn’t see the inside of a hair salon for months. What was I thinking?! As my hair grew, I started to consider my options. Should I cut it myself? Do some at-home treatment to try to repair the split ends? I was getting desperate.

A part of me was a little hesitant to even do the first step. After the oil, you wash, rinse, and repeat. To my surprise, my hair and scalp didn’t have any oily residue leftover, and I started to realize this concept is basically like my skincare routine! Oil attracts oil (and dirt, grime, and leftover product…), and then you cleanse it away to end up with a soft, clean canvas, aka, your face or your scalp! The first shampoo cleanse rinses away the oil with all the pollutants that have been hiding in your hair, and the second cleanse nourishes your newly-clean hair.
