Beauty Roadtest: Try Frownies, An Anti-Wrinkle Routine That Won’t Make You Frown

The Difference Between Dragging Through Your Day And Feeling Great On Your Feet? These Arch Support Insoles

The latest beauty “issue” I’ve been griping about is fine lines, so when I came across Frownies Facial Pads ($14.69), something about the pads (and cute name) caught my eye. I have several wrinkle creams in my regular beauty regime already, but the thought of applying adhesives nightly – as opposed to getting Botox a few years down the line – was worth a shot. The box comes with 144 of these, which is a bargain. The pads themselves, which claim to train the facial muscles to regain strength and tone, didn’t seem to be much more than Kraft paper, but after a week of wearing them almost nightly, I noticed a change. The crows feet I’d been complaining about were noticeably diminished. Although you can use them daily, who has three hours to spend alone, not eating? For the best result, wear them through the night, as consistently as possible. This might mean a drop in sleep, but hey, you’ll get more of both later if you have smoother skin, right?

Check out more beauty roadtests, plus our favorite eye creams, and the best mascara.
