As many of you know, cream blushes are so in right now. Honestly, I think they should be “in” all the time, but what do I know? Cream blushes give such a natural flush and a youthful glow that’s perfect for any skin type. If you worry about looking (or feeling) dry, powdery, or cakey, cream blush is the solution for you–especially for mature skin.
However, finding the right blush is a science… at least for me. I take blush very seriously: shade, texture, shimmer, versatility. A lot goes into the perfect blush. So, to help you zero in on the best option, here are 5 of our favorite cream blushes. Happy shopping!
Winky Lux Cheeky Rose Blush ($20)
Ok, hello. It’s shaped like a rose! *Heart eyes*. How cute is that? Available in 5 shades, this Winky Lux cream blush gives a super natural finish and lasts a long time. Infused with vitamin E oil and carnauba, it’s really easy to blend and goes on smoothly with just your fingers.
Honest Beauty Crème Cheek Blush ($12.99)
Jessica Alba’s new cosmetics line, Honest Beauty, is based around clean products that actually work… and this blush is no exception. It’s free of parabens, talc, petroleum, synthetic fragrances, and a lot of other stuff that we shouldn’t be putting on our faces; the lightweight formula is totally buildable so you get as much (or as little) color as you’d like.
Fenty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush ($20)
You know we’re big fans of Rihanna and pretty much everything she does, including Fenty Beauty. This cream blush is available in 10 shades (we love the range!) and is absolutely gorgeous. Non-greasy and totally natural, this blush gives an instant boost and youthful flush to your face.
Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Color Blush ($30)
A little pricier, this Laura Mercier blush is available in 6 shades and is an actual wonder: cream to powder formula is long-lasting and leaves a velvety finish. If you’ve got oily skin or are worried about looking too dewy, this cream to powder blush is ideal. Creamy application makes everything go on smoothly and look *so* natural while the powder finish sets beautifully.
NARS Air Matte Blush ($30)
And now for my all-time favorite blush: NARS Orgasm. I’m sure you’ve all at least heard of this best-selling blush (available in powder, cream, liquid, and stick form) and, trust me, it’s so worth it. This Air Matte Blush (available in 8 shades) is a unique mousse formula that is lightweight and gives plenty of time to blend, eventually leaving a powdery finish.
