This year, I decided to buy holiday presents for all the important people in my life.

Rather than just assuming what people wanted, I asked everyone. My younger brother proved to be no help at all—he wanted a jacuzzi, lol—but I quickly realized that most people asked for things they’d use as part of their everyday routines. (Think utilitarian jackets, briefcases, chic bags, and kitchen appliances. Because sometimes, it’s not about what you want, but what you need.) When my sister put an espresso machine on her wish list, I wasted no time in digging into the coffee/espresso machine space. After all, as a non-coffee drinker, wasn’t it time I learned about this stuff?

I learned that it’s best to look to your morning routine and personal preferences when selecting an espresso machine, rather than just springing for the most expensive model out there. For example, do you prefer a bean-to-cup model, or do you like capsule-based coffees? What kind and what size coffees or espressos do you drink regularly? Given these different preferences, there’s no one-size-fits-all coffee/espresso machine; however, I’m convinced that the L’OR Barista system comes pretty close to pleasing everyone. Why?

The L’OR Barista is a single-serve coffee and espresso machine that uses high-pressure brewing to unlock rich flavors and bold aromas. That’s almost as good as having a personal barista on-call! Each cup is topped with silky crema, AKA the brand’s gold seal of quality.

What I like about L’OR Barista is its compatibility with different-sized capsules, including pods from Peet’s Coffee, L’OR capsules, and Nespresso espresso capsules. If you already own a coffee or espresso machine at home, chances are you won’t have to go out and buy a whole bunch of new coffee pods. Another common issue people have with their at-home espresso machines is flavor and coffee strength. Not only does L’OR Barista produce a strong, flavorful cup of coffee or espresso, it pours six different sizes ranging from 1.4oz to 12oz cups. This means you can make all your favorite hot, iced, and specialty drinks at the strength you like. And for those who care about aesthetics, the L’OR Barista features a sleek matte finish with premium metal detailing. It looks like something you’d see in an expensive Parisian café, even though it’s compact and will fit anywhere in your kitchen. (Yes, even if you like in a teeny-tiny studio in Manhattan!)

I can already hear you asking, “how much is it?!” Another plus is the L’OR Barista’s affordability. While plenty of espresso machines will set you back well over a grand, the L’OR Barista rings up at $189. It gets better. Right now, they’re running early Black Friday deals!

From November 18-December 1, take advantage of the brand’s Black Friday deal and get up to $80 off, along with a free holiday capsule assortment. You’ll get 20 free capsules whenever you spend $50 or more on capsule orders. The same deal is running for Cyber Monday (December 2-December 8), so don’t miss out!

Whether or not your sister is asking Santa Claus (OK, you) for an espresso machine this holiday season, the point is that you can’t go wrong when you gift someone the L’OR Barista. If the holidays are about spending time with the people you love, then delicious cups of espresso will help incentivize people to get together. The L’OR Barista is perfect for entertaining—and at the very least, it’s lovely to sip on a hot drink indoors while it’s cold or snowy outside.

Happy holidays, friends, and cheers to more L’OR Barista in your life! Visit lorcoffee.com to shop and purchase a machine today.
