Struggling With Sleep? This Rechargeable Sound Machine Is A Total Game-Changer

After going through a rough patch a couple years ago, my skin has thankfully calmed down.

For me, the trick isn’t a complex, multi-step routine, but a simple one. Applying 10+ different products to my face in the evenings just caused more breakouts. So I got to work figuring out what worked well for my skin and stuck to it. It paid off, but that’s not to say I don’t still deal with occasional blackheads or hormonal acne. (Hello, I’m a human being after all!).

I don’t typically incorporate acne-prevention creams into my daily routine, but if it’s that time of the month and I’m seeing issues, I like a targeted acne product. One of my favorites is Amazon’s Blume Meltdown Acne Oil ($28), which you can either use in tandem with moisturizer for full-acne coverage, or for targeted spots.

One of my biggest acne issues isn’t the spots themselves, but the irritating redness and bumpiness that comes along with them. I love Blume Meltdown Acne Oil ($28) because it helps to calm redness and improve texture, simultaneously preventing future breakouts.

I also vividly remember going through a period where I was applying hydrocortisone to my more stubborn spots (do not recommend), which horribly dried out my skin and layered problems on top of problems. Blume Meltdown Acne Oil ($28) does the opposite. It’s formulated with soothing rosehip oil—to moisturize and keep skin from drying out—as well as blue tansy to help soothe irritation. Other ingredients include Tamanu oil and black cumin seed, which combat bumpy acne texture and protect against bacteria.

I’ve read a little about the powers of oil-based products to combat acne, and can attest that incorporating acne face oil has definitely been a positive for me. So many products (like toners, cleansers, etc.) strip the oil from your face to clean it. That’s a good thing, but we also need moisturizers and oil products to balance the skin and lock in hydration. Just one more reason why I love this product!

According to a study Blume conducted among 30 participants (aged 18-36), 88% of people who used the face oil “saw a reduction in the redness of acne and breakouts,” while “96% reported an improvement in skin texture over time.”

Likewise, Amazon users reports seeing results. One person left a glowing 5-star review, explaining that they’d struggled with cystic acne for years, and this product essentially fixed it. “I’m fairly certain this is the only Amazon review I have ever written. That’s how serious this is lol and it’s not a paid review either,” they explained. Someone else shared feedback on behalf of their daughter, writing, “My daughter’s skin didn’t just clear up her skin looks beautiful. The difference on her back is amazing. She is religious about doing it.”

If you’re struggling with stubborn acne or occasional products, and you don’t already have a routine that works for you, Blume Meltdown Acne Oil ($28) could be the missing piece of your skincare puzzle.
