My bet is that if you don’t own a pair of
blue light blocking glasses, you’ve at least heard of them.
Blue light glasses contain a special lens that filters and reflects blue light to reduce the eye’s exposure to blue light. The wavelength of blue light has been found to cause potential damage to your retina. What’s more, blue light is everywhere–the sun, computers, cellphones, and some light bulbs.
Ok, so if you know what
blue light blocking glasses are, my question is: why don’t you own a pair? It’s 2020. And this means that we’re all looking at screens for much longer than we ever have, whether it be for work or school or Netflix (no judgement). 6 in 10 adults experience digital eye strain after the use of technology; symptoms include headaches, blurry vision, and dry eyes. Blue light glasses have been proven to significantly reduce these symptoms *and* improve sleep.
I figured that
blue light glasses were all hype and, if they did make a difference, it wouldn’t be huge. But about a year ago, I finally broke down and bought a pair because, I mean, it’s not like $15 is gonna break me. And that’s when my life changed. I honestly didn’t realize how often I had headaches until they were gone! Moral of the story: $15 will literally change your life and will make working so much more endurable. I’ve linked 4 different
blue light blocking glasses below because you won’t want to waste any more time staring at a screen without this protection. Happy screen watching!
