Canadian brand Mackage is known for gorgeous tailored coats that celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry, and Blake Lively go to first when the temperatures dip. But now that winter is almost over, the designer duo is tackling a new project: handbags. According to WWD, they are set to release a 12-piece collection of totes and clutches, including the “Rubie,” “Bookie,” “Carrita” and “Pozi” styles shown above.
The bags feature Mackage’s signature leather detailing, arrow closures and the occasional pop of color. The Mackage handbags, $225 to $600, are the definition of mixed media; you’ll find a happy marriage of Napa leather, gold arrow finishings, snakeskin, and pops of color like cobalt blue. Mackage also collaborated PurseBlog‘s Megs Mahoney Dusil on an exclusive bag for the line (so there’s another blogger collaboration if you’re keeping a running tally).
The bags will launch on July 15 on mackage.com and Shopbop. You hear that, Halle?
