Clarks shoes, you can always count on them for comfort and practicality. It’s one of those brands that everyone knows, and almost everyone owns at least one pair (or has at some point in their life). But you wouldn’t expect to see them in a fashion magazine, right? Well, news flash: the shoe brand is currently occupying four pages in the September issue of ELLE, and with good reason. Clarks is introducing some seriously stylish shoes for fall, including leopard print loafers, lace-up wedge booties and oxford flats.
We caught up with Carly Danforth, the Senior Marketing Manager of Clarks shoes, and she filled us in on the new collection. Clarks decided to bring style and comfort together for the customer who values a quality shoe. Danforth says, “We see an opportunity to reach a younger audience by delivering product that is both stylish and comfortable. We do not, and will not, sacrifice comfort for style. As we see it, you can’t have one without the other”. We couldn’t agree more. There’s nothing worse than buying a new pair of shoes, and finding out how uncomfortable they actually are after pinching your feet all day.
Since Clarks has so many new offerings for fall, we wanted to find out what Carly thought the most-wanted style would be this season. She tells us “Everyone loves shooties in the fall”. Her pick? The Lida Sayer ($169.99), which she says is already blowing up online in the blogosphere. We think you should shop these shoes early, that way you’ll guarantee blister-free feet all fall.
