Here’s exactly how it works:
To trade in your old jeans, see the Guest Service Desk at Target. There, an employee will collect the denim and give you a coupon in return. The deal is good for all long denim jeans, whether they’re in men, women, or kids styles. The only exception is no short denim. There is also a maximum of four coupons per household.
After you trade in your denim, I:Collect sorts through the donations. Some jeans are reused and sold as second-hand clothing, if they’re in pristine condition. Other worn pairs of jeans are recycled into other textile products. They can be repurposed as insulation, carpet padding, yarn, or furniture stuffing in the industrial industry.
Before lugging all of your outdated jeans to your local Target, give the customer service desk a call and make sure the Target x I:Collect recycling offer is valid at that location.
Scroll down to look at just a few of the new Target denim styles you can buy for 10% off, in return for recycling your old pair.
Women's High-Rise Raw Hem Straight Jeans - Universal Thread™ Light Wash ($27.99)
Promising review: "These jeans are very comfortable, and just like other reviewers have noted they have a perfect amount of stretch. I have a hard time finding jeans that fit both my waist and my hips, but these did the job. I sized down like I do with most clothing from Target. By far my favorite jeans, and the price is a bargain for the quality you get."
Women's High-Rise Straight Jeans - Universal Thread™ Medium Wash ($27.99)
Promising review: "Obsessed with these! They are already easily one of my favorite pairs of jeans and so affordable. I'm a size 6, around 140 ish pounds, and 5'5". They fit perfectly, are flattering, and feel comfortable enough I can chase my toddler around in them. Yay!!"
