Celebrities must have had extra time to work on their bodies during the pandemic (that’s what home gyms are for after all!) because they showed them off more than ever this year! The A-listers were particularly fond of exposing their legs this year, and that either came in the form of high slit dresses that were slashed as high as their navels in some cases, and the ultra-mini mini dresses!
We’re going to look back at some of our absolute favorite mini dresses that we have seen from the A-listers this year – be it on the red carpet, or on talk shows, on stage, or even on Instagram! Because if you have enviable pins, showing them off on social media ‘just because’ is perfectly acceptable. Encouraged even!
Hailey Bieber
Hailey Bieber has tried her hand at every single flesh flashing trend this year. From going pantsless (more on this later) more times than we can count, to wearing extremely high slit dresses and everything in-between, Hailey hasn’t been shy about showing off her flawless body! The black leather mini dress Hailey wore on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on November 22nd is definitely among the sexiest things we have seen not only from Mrs Bieber but from any celebrity ever, hence why we couldn’t think of a better look to kick off our roundup of the best mini dresses worn by celebs in 2021!

Beyoncé
Beyoncé served us some incredibly fierce and fashionable looks this year, especially while she was yachting around Europe and celebrating her 40th birthday back in September. However, Ms Knowles floored us and rendered us almost speechless when she posted a picture of herself in a neon green mini dress on April 28th, which she paired with matching neon green shoes and a neon green bag. Bey took the matchy matchy trend very seriously! We were actually hoping to see it again on the aforementioned cruise, but Bey had so many other brand new looks to treat us to (including this green sequin mini dress/work of art by Dolce and Gabbana) so we get why she didn’t want to repeat it. Besides, this look lives rent free in our minds, anyway, so we won’t forget it any time soon!

Vanessa Hudgens
The barely-there lavender mini dress Vanessa showed off on Instagram on November 19th was a very close contender for this list, but it was beaten at the very last second by the halter-neck black and white gingham Carolina Herrera mini dress that she wore on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 16th. The 33-year-old actress has been giving us some incredible looks for the Tick, Tick…Boom! promo trail! Vanessa slayed this look – not only was it one of the shortest dresses we’ve ever seen the former High School Musical star wear, but the styling – i.e., a bold red lip and white go-go boots – sealed the deal even more for us.

Ariana Grande
Ariana and her stylists went for the less is more approach for her debut season as a coach on The Voice – as proven by the high volume of ab-baring crop tops and super mini skirts and dresses that she wore throughout the show. We weren’t complaining though – we were in love with every single piece the 28-year-old “7 Rings” singer wore; and one of our particular favorites was this super duper mini dress by Off-White that she wore just last month. We loved how she styled it with black gloves, a black hair bow, and black Mary Jane platform heels.

Taylor Swift
We always admire anyone who braves a super mini skirt or dress when they know they’ll be sitting down with lots of cameras on them and millions of people watching at home, which is why we have to give an honorable mention to the black Princess Diana inspired LBD the 32-year-old Grammy-winner wore on Late Night with Seth Meyers on November 11th. However, the floral Oscar de la Renta mini dress that the “All Too Well” singer wore to the Grammys back in March can’t be ignored, as it’s been nine months, and we are still just as obsessed with it!
