Great apps are what make your iPhone experience even better. From navigation apps to fun streaming apps that allow you to pass the time no matter where you roam, there is no shortage of apps that you can download in seconds and add to your collection. But it’s equally as important to know which apps are taxing on your phone’s battery or can snatch data and pose privacy concerns. Tech Expert Robert Welch, the CEO of Projector1, shares the three apps you need to remove from your iPhone immediately — they’re ruining your iPhone.

Facebook

Facebook is one of those apps that secretly kills your time and the life of your iPhone, Welch shares. “The app always runs in the background as it requires access to most things on your phone like Photos and Contacts,” Welch says. “This makes it one of those apps which consumes the highest storage space clogging up your phone with junk.”

As painful as it might be at first, deleting the Facebook app and using Facebook on your browser instead can instantly help boost your phone’s battery and how it works.

Snapchat

“Snapchat is another pretty trap that you need to get yourself out of,” Welch says. “Though the app makes you look charming, it is quite repulsive for your phone's battery health. The numerous notifications that you receive can alone suck out your iPhone's battery in a go. Besides, it uses a location tracking service that runs in the background all the time. In turn, draining your battery and killing your iPhone's efficiency slowly.”

WhatsApp

Even though it’s one of the most popular apps on the planet for communication, WhatsApp is not the best pick if you need your phone to run better.

“WhatsApp is also one of those utility apps that leaves your phone dry filled with cache files and phone junk,” Welch says. “It becomes an enemy to storage optimization.”

If you’re having trouble with your phone, try deleting these three apps first. You may be shocked at how much better your phone runs as a result.
