And according to professional makeup artists, some of these trends can actually work when it comes to face-lifting and contouring effects. So, if you’re looking for an easy way to refresh your look this season, we’ve rounded up four makeup trends from BeautyTok that are not only simple to achieve but can also give you a more lifted and youthful appearance. Keep reading to find out which trends made the cut!
4 TikTok Makeup Trends That Pro MUAs Say Can Lift Your Features
1. Latte Makeup
This look has gained widespread popularity in recent months, with celebrities like Gigi Hadid (above) and Hailey Bieber (below) showcasing it. What makes latte makeup stand out is its unique blend of beauty and simplicity.
The makeup creates a stunning, bronzed appearance that can be achieved with ease and works for nearly every skin tone. The secret behind latte makeup lies in the use of various shades of brown, tan, and gold to add depth and warmth to the skin.
Essentially, you're creating a gold, sun-kissed look long after summer has ended and embracing the festive and shimmering tones of the holiday season when it comes to your eyeshadow, highlighter and lipstick.
Professional makeup artist Mandie Brice notes that it's essential to figure out your main skin tone and undertones to find the most flattering latte makeup hues to use.
"When you are contouring, your objective is to make it appear like there are shadows where there aren't," she tells SheFinds, regarding a face-lifting effect with this trend.
"So in the example for a chin, you’d want to make a shadow where it would be if you had your desired jawline, or no double chin."

She adds that "undertones are key in picking what colors to use" when it comes to makeup, and "whether you're warm, cool, or neutral can make a difference on how well your foundation blends."
You can find your undertone easily, she says, by looking at the veins on the inside of your forearm. "If they are blueish, you have a cooler undertone, and if they are greenish, you can go for a warmer color. Or, if silver jewelry looks better on you, you’re more suited to cooler tones, but if gold is better, you have a warm undertone," Brice says.
There’s also the possibility that you’re neutral, she notes, "which is if gold and silver are equally flattering."
Most brands of makeup have either the word "warm, cool, or neutral" or the letters "W,C,N" in their foundation name or code to help you find the right one, she points out, so trying out the latte makeup trend while knowing your tones and undertones can help create a more lifted look!
2. Cherry Cola Lips
As the foliage shifts its colors, it's only natural for the darker shades of lipstick to take center stage on social media, complementing the chill of the air with their trendy appeal.
'Cherry Cola' lips and blush is trending on TikTok and other social media sites right now, and the trend emulates the rich and deep hues of a cherry cola soda beverage. The hashtag #CherryColaLip has garnered millions of views on the app in the past few months, making it a cult favorite among beauty enthusiasts.
As the weather gets even colder, experts say this trend isn't going anywhere! Celebrity makeup artist and beauty expert Heather Spadaro tells us that you can start "with a red gloss or a red liner and a sheerer lipstick or gloss over it" and "get yourself comfortable with color before jumping in" to the trend.

While the trend requires the use of a dark cherry lipstick and blush color, Spadaro notes that there are still some clever hacks to use to find a shade that really complements your skin tone and undertones.
"Usually medium and warm undertones can steer in any direction, however cooler undertones usually look best in blue-based reds," she notes. If you are a neutral undertone, in addition to blue-based, a "pink or peach-based red would look stunning as well, she notes, adding that "olive complexions look great in coral-reds."
By finding the right dark lipstick and blush color match for your complexion, Spadaro notes, you can make your face look more lifted and symmetrical.
3. Pumpkin Spice Glow
Despite the onset of winter, the pumpkin spice glow trend continues to captivate beauty enthusiasts and influencers both on TikTok and beyond.
Drawing inspiration from the warm tones and gold accents of latte makeup, this trend also features eyeshadows, highlighters, and lipsticks that create a similar aesthetic.
To truly envision pumpkin spice-inspired makeup, think of a harmonious monochromatic look perfect for fall. TikTokers are matching their eyeshadow and liner with their bronzer and highlighter, and their lips with their overall color palette.

Pumpkin spice makeup embraces warm, earthy hues such as brown, bronze, and neutral tones. Just like with the latte makeup trend, this look is easily customizable and can be used strategically for a facelift effect, Brice says.
To highlight and contour your face with hues from the trend, the idea is to "think about where the sun or light would hit it and where shadows would be if your face and features were shaped to your liking," she explains.
"For example, many use a shadow contour to narrow the sides of the bridge of their nose where shadows would fall if their nose was narrower, or similar with jawlines and hair line."
4. Underlined Eyes
Last but not least, this TikTok-trendy and celeb-fave look involves the application of eyeliner on the outer corner of the lower lash line. Some beauty influencers have been experimenting with a twist on the trend by beginning the line from the inner corner instead, in a nod to the reverse eyeliner trend.
This unconventional style is popular due to its ability to brighten up a look and add an element of playfulness, while also giving the impression of larger eyes. You can embrace a fun twist on the classic cat eye or smokey eye look with this fall and winter style. It;s fun to experiment with different shades and eyeliner techniques to achieve either a dramatic or more subdued result.
This look is incredibly versatile, giving you the freedom to choose the level of intensity that suits your mood and style. Professional makeup artist Oscar Velasquez tells us that he recommends "playing with complimentary colors" when it comes to eyeliner and eyeshadow if you want to go with a look that isn't traditional and all-black.
"Shades on the opposite side of the color wheel can intensify the eyes," he said, adding that it can be fun to "experiment with these hues in your eyeshadow or liner."

Another pro tip he shared is to always "focus on the crease" when creating an eye look like this (like Zendaya and Adriana Lima did here), as "applying a slightly darker shade in the crease of the eye can create depth and make the eyes appear even more striking."
Additionally, Velasquez suggested that along with a great underliner look, you can use a "shimmery, light-colored eyeshadow or highlighter on the inner corners of the eyes" and "along the brow bone to brighten and open up the eyes."
Overall, we these four autumnal trends are worth giving a shot due to their ease of implementation and potential to create a rejuvenating effect just in time for the upcoming holiday gatherings!
