Tech hacks make the world go ‘round, especially those that allow us to get more out of our iPhones and make them feel like they’re brand new again. It’s no surprise that tech experts have a number of shortcuts under their belts that they turn to when they want to make their phones even more efficient. There are four specific shortcuts every tech expert loves because they make your iPhone run like brand new. Commit these to memory and you’ll be using your phone with even more ease.

Schedule iPhone Messages

Your second cousin’s birthday is next Friday and you can’t go another year without forgetting to send him a text. Don’t leave anything up to chance — because there’s an iPhone shortcut that can help. You can actually schedule your iPhone messages in advance. To do so, write your text, add any images or videos you want to include, and then tap “schedule date” and choose a date and time you want the message to be sent. This setting will be set up to the default “don’t repeat” setting — only change it if you want to send the same text out on consecutive days.

Use Airplane Mode To Save Battery

Let’s say you have a few hours left in the work day, your phone battery is dwindling below 30 percent, and there isn’t a charger to be found anywhere. What can you do? For starters, you can conserve major battery power by swiping up to open the control center and then clicking on the airplane symbol to enable airplane mode. This shortcut automatically slows down your device’s battery usage so that your phone doesn’t die.

Create Personalized Text Replies

There’s no need to write a similar variation on the same text reply every time you send a text back to a friend. You can actually create a customized text reply that’s there when you need it by going into Settings — Phone – Respond with Text. While there, create a few different universal replies that you can simply text back when you’re short on time.

Search For Docs And Photos

This is quite possibly the simplest iPhone shortcut yet — there is a way to effortlessly find a lost document for photo that will take you just seconds. Swipe down from the top of the screen and a search box will appear. Type in the keywords for the doc you’re search for and, voila, instant results.
