Butter
Butter is high in calories and saturated fat, so it's not the best spread for weight loss.
According to Healthline, "Theoretically, adding just one serving per day to your diet without making any other changes could lead to approximately 10 pounds (4.5 kg) of weight gain over the course of a year."
Whipped Marshmallow
Whipped marshmallow is another spread that can lead to weight gain. Although it's common to make a whipped marshmallow and peanut butter sandwich, you're better off sticking to just peanut butter. Whipped marshmallow is high in calories and sugar with hardly any fiber or protein.
With that in mind, it has little nutritional value and can lead to weight gain.
Sour Cream Spread
Sour cream is another one to avoid. According to Everyday Health, "Two tablespoons pack about 50 calories."
Although that might not seem like too much, it can definitely add up if you are regularly adding it to your diet.
Jelly
Jelly is high in sugar and calories. Too much sugar can lead to weight gain, but it can also lead to a variety of other health problems like heart disease and diabetes.
With that in mind, keeping jelly in moderation is important for your overall health.
