Your iPhone battery is losing power by the minute (or so it seems). If your device struggles to retain a charge and you feel like you’ve done it all, don’t lose hope. Don’t run to the Apple store and DON’T drop hundreds of dollars just yet. A huge change to your iPhone’s power could be just a few changes away. Aseem Kishore, CEO of Help Desk Geek, spoke with SHEFinds.com about four specific things you didn’t know you could do to improve your iPhone’s battery life. We’re trying these immediately — and suggest the same to you if your phone is struggling to keep up.

Brightness Settings

There’s no way around it — your phone’s screen’s brightness usually has a major impact on the battery usage. “It’s very simple, the more bright you set your screen to be, the more your battery’s life will be drained,” Kishore says. That is because it requires energy to be that bright, therefore you are required to charge it again and again. So the simplest solution would be to set your brightness to a lower setting.”

Low Power Mode

“An extremely convenient solution is to select the low power mode in your iPhone,” Kishore says. “Why? Because it literally is a feature that makes you use less battery! However, this might stop you from using some of the features in order to complete its task so you’ll have to choose very wisely.”

Mail Sync

“Turn off the automatic syncing of your emails, because that takes up a lot of battery,” Kishore says. “Instead of this, just manually refresh your email whenever you want to check it because that saves a lot of power.”

Turn on data saver

“Especially for those who use their data non-stop — remember it uses a lot of battery!” Kishore says,. “So turn on the data saver option so that both your data and your battery life can be saved.”

Try these four tips on for a whirl to gain back battery power and (with hope) prolong the life of your iPhone.
