5 Things You Should Do With Your Bridesmaids Before The Wedding

January 27, 2017 by Justine Schwartz

There's a reason you picked your bridesmaids. They're your favorite girls in the world, your squad. Whether they're blood-related or just your sister from another mister, your connection is deep. And if you feel #blessed to have your girls by your side on your wedding day, here are 7 things you should make sure you do together before the big day.

A spa day

Brides need and deserve a day of rest and relaxation right before the wedding to calm their nerves and get them in the right head space. Plan a treatment together and get some quality girl time out of it. This is a great opportunity to bond with your bridesmaids. It will also put them in a better mood for the big day and you could even pay for it and have it be your bridesmaid gift.

The hair and makeup trials

Get some or all of your bridesmaids involved in the beauty service trials--for one, you can see how your selected style will actually look on different hair and skin types. Plus, you can all get comfortable and acquainted with the artist, which will make the day-of getting ready process even more relaxed. And, as an added bonus you can all go out together that night with your makeup and hair all done up.

Have a really wild party night

Typically, the groomsmen take the groom out the night before the wedding for a truly *wild* night--and there's no reason the girls can't have fun, too. Use the excuse that you're about to "settle down," to relive your college years and tear up the town with your favorite ladies like you used to do when you were single. Forget the boys for a night, and hit the town. An all-girls dance party to Beyonce is exactly what you need.

Buy your wedding day accessories

They'll need shoes for the wedding, too, so why not go shopping together? This way, you'll be able to influence their decision, and you can also get their input on yours. Always good to have a second opinion--plus, who doesn't like to shop with their girlfriends?!

Go deep

This is an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of your friendship. Go deep--have a sleepover and share something new about yourself that they don't know. Communicate on a deeper, more honest level. Share a secret and keep it. You may be gaining a husband, but you can also get closer to your friends and family through the process of the wedding, too.
