'Tis the season for proposals (one-third of them happen between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve), and if you’re a newly-minted bride-to-be, you’ll no doubt want to start spreading the word to family and friends. Here are six creative ways to announce you’re engaged.Create a card.
If you got engaged early in the holiday season, you can send out a holiday card announcing your engagement. One fun idea? Instead of a year in review card, you can do a “relationship in review” one, with photos of all of the milestones in your love story, culminating in the engagement.

Use props.
While your sparkly new engagement ring can certainly speak for itself, props are always a fun idea, especially if you're planning to announce your engagement on social media.

Send out ornaments.
If you have enough time before Christmas, send your closest family members an ornament with “We’re engaged” or “I said yes!” written on them. This is a pretty simple DIY project--all you need are a box of unadorned ornaments and a Sharpie in a fun color. You can also embellish the ornament with glitter, gems or anything you like.

Make a movie.
The holidays are a great time to share videos, so create your own either of the actual proposal or a slideshow of your relationship, ending with a photo of your groom on bended knee.
Throw a party.
Gather all of your nearest and dearest for a holiday or New Year’s Eve party, where you can announce your big news. You can also host a tree trimming party, asking each guest to bring a special ornament so you’ll have mementoes to enjoy every year to mark this special event.

Use technology.
Can’t gather everyone in person? Rounds is a mobile-first application that merges communication with entertainment, with the options to video chat with up to 12 people while sharing pictures (of the ring), streaming videos (of the proposal) and doodling (hearts and flowers).
