6 New Trader Joe’s Items That Fans Think Are ‘Worth A Try’ This Summer

1. Frozen Chicken Karaage

If you’re a fan of chicken-based meals in the summertime, Trader Joe’s just unveiled a new Japanese-inspired, frozen chicken karaage dish that is not only easy to make, but also “delicious,” according to fans who have tried it! According to the grocer, these $6.49 chicken bites are crispy and seasoned, and made with dark meat. They also come with a “sweet and savory” dipping sauce. According to one customer On IG who gave this item a go, it “tastes amazing with some togarashi sprinkled on top.” Good to know!

2. Lemon Pesto Sauce

Whipping up pasta and looking for a light and savory sauce? Trader Joe’s has just the product, its new limited-edition lemon pesto! This sauce is selling out of stores across the US (act fast!) and features “lemons, sunflower seed oil, savory Grana Padano cheese, almonds, a touch of salt, a pinch of black pepper, and extra lemon zest” according to TJ’s. One fan on IG praised this $3.49 sauce after trying it, noting that it “was great on pasta.”

3. S’Mores Bars

There’s no better way to end a summer evening than with a barbecue and s’mores to top off the night. Trader Joe’s just added a new dessert to their stores – S’Mores bars! These frozen treats are composed of a “fudgy brownie on a honey graham crust with a marshmallow crème topping.” For $4.99, you can get a box full of six! (And no sticks or fire is required to make them!) One TJ’s customer on IG who ate them dubbed them to be “amazing.” They added: “You will not believe the texture of the marshmallow topping.”

4. Dark Chocolate Watermelon & Pineapple Sticks

If you need to cool off from the hot summer sun and have a sweet tooth, TJ’s just released dark chocolate watermelon and pineapple sticks! Each fruity treat includes a “soft and chewy center dipped in dark chocolate.” While these don’t have to be frozen, many fans of the grocer are doing that and enjoying them as icy desserts afterwards! Every bag is $3.99, and fans have called these sticks “so yummy” and “so good” on social media.

5. Guava Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Cream

Okay, so you can’t eat this new TJ’s product, but fans think it smells and feels amazing! Plus, skincare is super important in the summertime. For $4.99, you can grab a limited-time tube of this hand cream that features guava extract and vitamin E. One Trader Joe’s enthusiast who bought the cream described it as a “must grab” item as someone else wrote that this “hand cream is the best.”

6. Eucalyptus Scented Candle

Lastly, we included one more non-food but must-try new Trader Joe’s product! The chain has shared a new $3.99 scented candle with a refreshing eucalyptus smell. Fans are loving it, as seen on Instagram. One recently wrote that this candle smells “great and fresh,” just like the plant. Each is made with a “soy wax blend and lead free cotton wick,” according to the brand. Sounds perfect for summer, like the other items on this list!
