American Apparel Has A “No Ugly” Policy American Apparel’s hiring team favors good-looks over adequate work experience, which makes a LOT of sense to anyone who has stepped inside the store. It's not uncommon to receive a glare in place of the customary employee "hello". Also, have you noticed that 9 out of 10 times you try something on at A.A. it ends up being stained?
