It's been weeks since
Kanye West dropped his video for
"Fade" and everyone can't stop talking about
Teyana Taylor. She's popping up everywhere from
Yeezy Season 4 to
more music videos. Here are some facts you need to know about this star on the rise. [Photo: Splash News]
She got her start on MTV Yep, Teyana appeared on season 4 of
My Super Sweet 16 back in 2007. Her
Barbie entrance was a memorable one as was her old school 80s skateboard party theme. [Photo: Splash News]
She's engaged to an NBA player Teyana is engaged to Cleveland Cavaliers player Iman Shumpert. He's the guy with her in "Fade!" [Photo: INFphoto.com]
Her first child was born at home After going into labor early, Teyana and Iman welcomed their first child, I
man Tayla Shumpert Jr., at home. According to
this Instagram post, the singer had no idea she was in labor until she woke up. "She came out as a wonderful surprise to everyone! Not knowing I was in labor until I felt her head … it took two ten count pushes with my fiancé playing Dr and she entered this world into his bare hands!" With the help of an emergency operator, Iman used red headphones to tie the umbilical cord. Wow, talk about making an entrance!
She has a history with Kanye West "Fade" wasn't the first time Teyana and
Kanye West worked together. She worked on
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and signed to West's G.O.O.D. Music label in 2012. [Photo:

Her debut album was a hit Teyana's first album VII, released in 2014, reached the #1 spot on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop list. [Photo: Splash News]
She has a connection to "Empire" Iman told
Northeast Ohio Media Group that he believes
Empire producers based two characters off of himself and his fiance. In the show, Tiana is a R&B star on the rise and she does look very similar to Teyana Taylor! Hakeem is a rapper with a flat top hair style, which is really the only similarty between him and Iman. I can definitely see the Tiana/Teyana comparison though. [Photo: Splash News]
She taught Beyoncé some dance moves
Beyoncé asked Teyana to
teach her how to do the "Chicken Noodle Soup" for her 2007 VMA performance. Teyana also choreographed Bey's music video for "
Ring The Alarm" in 2006. Girl has always had moves! [Photo:

She's got beef with Rihanna
In 2013, Teyana posted a video to Instagram singing "Caught Up In The Rapture" by Anita Baker. The next day, Rihanna posted a video of her hairdresser, wearing a curly haired wig and snap back, singing the same song in an exaggerated manor and picking up where Teyana left on. Basically, making fun of the singer. A nasty Twitter feud ensued, where Teyana posted a photo of her knocking out Rihanna using her police photo after the Chris Brown incident. Low blow. Adidas had a successful sneaker collaboration with Teyana but completely dropped her after this happened. [Photo:
