Eggs

Eggs are a great source of protein, and are especially low in carbs. In fact, in certain meals, a fried egg can take the place of a carb. Try working eggs into your diet throughout every meal of the day.

Salmon

Salmon is rich in Omega-3 fatty acid, which helps you build muscle and burn fat. Plus, it doesn’t take much to prepare salmon and make it taste delicious. We suggest seasoning a salmon filet with salt and pepper and baking it in the oven at 400 degrees for five to ten minutes. You can also throw smoked salmon into a salad, scrambled eggs or sandwich.

Tuna

Tuna is another good fish to incorporate into your diet for weight loss because it is lean with a low fat content, low calorie content and high in protein. Try adding tuna to sandwiches or casseroles to get more protein into your diet.

Spinach

For most of us, spinach was the food we hated most as children. But we think you should give it another try. Spinach is full of nutrients like potassium, iron, fiber and protein, so it can help you feel fuller for longer.

Lentils

Lentils should become your new go-to in place of pasta or rice in 2020. They have a lower carb content and are chock full of fiber and protein, so they can therefore help speed up weight loss.

Greek yogurt is a great way to promote weight loss because it is rich in calcium, protein and healthy fat so it can help your body to burn fat and to feel fuller for longer. Eating more Greek yogurt can help curb snacking and trim your waistline.

Cottage cheese

Similarly to Greek yogurt, cottage cheese is high in calcium and protein. It is also an excellent source of a variety of vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins, phosphorus and selenium.

With an extremely high fiber content, oats are a great breakfast food. They can help you feel full throughout the day. Plus, oats can be very easy to make, requiring very few other ingredients.

Believe it or not, incorporating dark chocolate in your diet for 2020 can help you lose weight. Eating dark chocolate can be good for promoting weight loss because it not only will indulge your sweet tooth and prevent you from craving lots of desserts, but it is rich in antioxidants, fiber and magnesium.
