Breakfast, they say, is the most important meal of the day. But if you have a sweet tooth, it can be difficult to resist sweet indulgences that leave you feeling unsatisfied and result in weight gain over time. However, there are, in fact, ways to satisfy those sweet cravings without putting your health at risk—and maybe even lose some weight along the way.
Nutritionist Ilana Muhlstein, a.k.a. @nutritionbabe on TikTok, frequently shares delicious, healthy recipes that can help you on your weight loss journey—because they helped her on her own! Muhlstein, who lost 100 pounds, has one fantastic breakfast recipe in particular for those with a sweet tooth. And believe it or not, it’s inspired by Snickers Ice Cream bars. The healthy twist? Protein-rich yogurt. Find all the info below.
First thing’s first—we won’t leave you waiting for the recipe. Here’s how Muhlstein says it’s done:
Caramel fudge: 2 dates soaked in hot water (5-30 min) blended with 1 tbsp cocoa powder and 1/2 tsp water.
Peanut butter yogurt: 3/4 cup plain or vanilla Siggi’s yogurt with 2 tbsp peanut butter powder, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and stevia or monk fruit to taste.
Topping: 1 tbsp chopped peanuts
Muhlstein says that this yogurt-based recipe not only satisfies her sweet cravings but also fuels her with the right nutrients, leaving her feeling fuller all day long—unlike one of the go-to breakfasts she used to eat when she was 100 pounds heavier.
