When Adriana Lima bid farewell to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show in 2018, many assumed it marked the conclusion of her illustrious career. Little did her devoted fans anticipate that she would emerge as a formidable force in the modeling realm—a feat that’s particularly challenging for models in the later stages of their careers.
Fast forward to the present, and the former Victoria’s Secret angel, hailed as “the most valuable Victoria’s Secret Angel” in 2017, has not only defied expectations but has also graced several notable covers. This time it was for Harper’s Bazaar Arabia‘s cover in a dazzling display of high-fashion prowess.
The Brazilian beauty donned a Roberto Cavalli turtleneck dress, exquisitely adorned with lace fabric cascading down one side of the sleeves and shoulders. The dress hugged her fit body, showing off her tiny waist even after giving birth to three kids. To top it off, she elevated her ensemble with a chic Bonfilio Hats headpiece and the shimmer of Cartier jewelry. See the look here!

But that’s not all—her makeup game was also on point, perfectly harmonizing with her all-black attire. Lima sported a striking jet-black dramatic eyeliner that adorned her entire eyelids, complemented by a nude glossy lip. The queen of the runway has once again proven that age is just a number, and her influence in the fashion world remains as potent as ever.
The 42-year-old spilled all the tea during her interview about her epic comeback and clapping back at trolls.
“My true comeback will be in 2024,” she says as she laughs. “I feel like there has been a return of the supers, I’ve been seeing not only supermodels from the 2000s but also from the ’80s and ’90s who have been working a lot lately and I think it’s wonderful to see. I think each of the supermodels has a different character and persona, and I think that’s what makes a difference because you can see those distinct personas when they are in photoshoots and on the runaway. They are easily remembered for that. I think that makes it easier for brands to sell because people connect to you, they connect to that distinct personality that you have,” she said as she gave her thoughts on why models of older ages are making a return.

Adriana Lima Talks Modeling & Being Happy
The brunette beauty added: “These supermodels are in different stages of their lives and are being celebrated for being mature women, which is refreshing to see because, as we know, the traditional fashion models usually don’t last that long. But I think that scenario is finishing. I think that as women, we are being celebrated in every stage of our life.”
When it comes to facing mean comments from the public, Adriana remains unbothered. When she attended The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes premiere a few weeks backs, trolls on the internet speculated that she looked ‘different’ and must’ve gotten a ton of ‘botox’ and ‘fillers.’ In the TikTok above, Lima gets ready with the help of celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta for the premiere, but fans thought something changed with the model’s face and couldn’t decide if it was the makeup or cosmetic procedures.
“It did not bother me at all. I’m very strong that way, and honestly, I looked at myself before I stepped out and I was feeling great. I was with my children, and they looked at me and were like, ‘Mom! You look so beautiful!’”
She continued to laugh it off and say: “I didn’t get offended or anything, though – I was laughing. The point is, I am not 16 years old. I started modeling at 16 but I will never be 16 again. I’m 42 and I’m the happiest I’ve been; the happiest with myself. I embrace my age and I will not change for anyone.”
