Unless you've been living under a rock, you're no stranger to the green tea trend and all its wondrous health benefits. According to Live Strong, drinking green tea after meals will give you catechins that help with weight loss and a caffeine fix. But, be careful drinking this after a late dinner. Green tea has way less caffeine than coffee, but you don't want to risk it keeping you up all night.

In case you need a refresher, green tea can help with just about everything, from preventing diseases to increasing fat burn to lowering cholesterol. The list could go on and on. But, you don't want to overdo it. Research varies on how many cups a day you should drink, but Women's Health reccommends no more than four.

You can also reap the benefits of green tea if you drink it before meals, as well. This can help make you feel more full, so you eat less during meals. Mike Roussell, Ph.D, says this can actually help absorb more of green tea's antioxidants.

Green tea makes the perfect post-dinner drink to curl up on the couch with and binge watch Netflix. Your body will thank you for this, and you'll feel so much better choosing green tea over junk food for your dessert.
