Royal Fans Outraged Over AI-Created Christmas Card Featuring Prince Archie And Princess Lilibet: ‘Some People Will Believe This Is Real’

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released their holiday card last month, to say it was met with controversy would be a huge understatement.
Their card came under fire partly because many people believed the picture of the couple with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet was either heavily Photoshopped or AI-generated. And now, one fan has gone one step further and made their own AI-generated Christmas card, which has understandably received mixed reactions online…
On December 26th, X user @pdina13 shared an AI-generated image of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet with a Christmas card design similar to Prince Harry and Meghan’s own 2024 card, and simply captioned it: “Thoughts?”
It featured black and white AI-generated images of their children, with Prince Archie posing with one hand in the pocket of a smart pair of trousers and a knit sweater. His sister, Princess Lilibet, is posing with her hands behind her back while wearing a short-sleeved summer dress with florals, as well as a cute headband in her hair.
“Fake & they don’t look like Harry or Meghan,” slammed one X user in the comments. “A complete fabrication!” exclaimed a second, in-between three sideways crying laughing emojis. The same user added: “100% AI. And to think some people will believe this is real.”
“This is an AI picture and you based Lilli Diana basically on Lady Kitty Spencer childhood pics. I’m laughing at the fact derangers really believed this is a picture of the kids,” commented a third. “Why on earth would a megxit/royal account give this life by sharing this ridiculous AI picture? It beggars belief,” commented a fourth, as a fifth reiterated: “People, this is AI.”
Another X user picked out some flaws in the image, writing: “Hmmmm… the boy has his hand in his pocket and the girl holds her hands behind her back. Guess Meghan learned her lesson with Harry six-fingers. (AI is notoriously bad at hands) Both children’s faces are out of proportion with the size of their heads. The girl has a huge forehead and a cast right eye, and the boy has a crossed left eye.”
Someone else echoed this, adding: “Hidden hands and feet very strange. Ai can’t do hands and feet properly yet. Also b&w filter hides a whole lot of things like the red hair, the eye colour etc.”
