Four types of Happy Farms cream cheese have been recalled by ALDI due to the fact that they could potentially be contaminated with salmonella, the company announced on May 5.
The recalled products include 8-ounce cups of Whipped Cream Cheese Spread, Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread, Cream Cheese Spread, and Strawberry Cream Cheese Spread, all of which may pose a salmonella risk. ALDI Cream Cheese Recall
The following cream cheese have been recalled:
- Whipped Cream Cheese Spread, UPC 4099100101881
- Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread, UPC 4099100101751
- Cream Cheese Spread, UPC 4099100101737
- Strawberry Cream Cheese Spread, UPC 4099100101744
These recalled products, which were produced by Schreiber Foods Inc., were sold in ALDI stores across 29 states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Luckily, no illnesses have been linked to this recall at this time, but it's important to take recalls like this seriously. If you have any of these recalled products in your fridge, ALDI urges you to discard it immediately, or return it to the nearest ALDI store for a full refund.
