The Ellen Show is back, but the controversy around the show’s host and environment has not stopped yet.
On a recent episode, Alec Baldwin visited the show and had a lot to say about Ellen DeGeneres, defending her from those who are criticizing the host. Though he did not outwardly call the rumors about her false, he did praise her career and encourage her to “keep going.”

During the interview, Baldwin made sure to speak about the controversy around Ellen right now, redirecting the conversation to discuss her career.
"Before we talk about my kid, Ellen," he said "I just want to say that you are someone—I have followed your career from when you were doing stand-up and you were a solo performer. I've watched the films you've done and I've watched your success on this TV show and you are one of the funniest and most talented women—one of the most funny and talented people in all of show business."
High praise from an A-lister--though it does seem important to mention that being talented and funny does not necessarily mean you do not contribute to a toxic workplace as well.
The actor continued, "We all have some patches of white water here, but you keep going. Don't you stop doing what you're doing."
DeGeneres clearly appreciated his words.
She replied, "Thank you so much, Alec. That means so much to me. I appreciate it."
And it does seem like the hose plans to "keep going."
She told Baldwin, "Yeah, there have been some rapids, and I am maneuvering the raft."
