In her caption, Hannigan wrote: "The before and after says it all." She added that she shed "20 pounds of both weight and emotional baggage" during her time on the show, and she also took time to thank her partner Sasha Farber for their memorable collaborations and numbers for season 32 of DWTS.
"I can’t thank @sashafarber1 enough for helping me shed my insecurities and getting me to the confident and strong place I am today," Hannigan sweetly wrote. Fans and Hannigan's famous friends headed to her comment section to commend her major achievements.
"You look stunning in both, but this transformation is insane!" one user wrote regarding her two pics as another added: "You looked beautiful before, you still look beautiful, and I am so impressed with how much your dancing improved during your time on the show!"
Someone else noted: "You look beautiful in both but your smile is so bright in the second. I can see your happiness!!" Hannigan's Buffy co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar also chimed in, writing: "I just see confidence gained."
Despite receiving the lowest scores in the semifinals, Hannigan and Farber persevered and made it to the finals. This round saw no elimination among the five remaining duos.
However, after showcasing their salsa moves, the pair ultimately finished the competition in fifth place.
Expressing her gratitude for her experience on the show in another recent IG video, Hannigan revealed that she had initially embarked on the show with a feeling of fear predominating her emotions.
