If you’ve always wanted an Amazon Fire Stick but the cost just isn’t in your budget right now, prepare to introduce this convenient device into your life. Amazon is practically giving Fire TVs away — and you can get one for $30 — but you have to act fast.

In anticipation of Amazon Prime Day 2020, the company has announced two new Fire TV streamers that are less expensive than the Fire TV Stick 4K and boast some of the same amazing features. Here is everything you need to know about these devices and money-saving deals.

Although Amazon Prime Day was stalled this year because of the Coronavirus, it will now take place on Tuesday, October 13 and Wednesday, October 14, starting after midnight PT. Amazon devices are always a major draw on Prime Day — on last year’s Prime Day the price of its Fire TV Stick 4K was even reduced from $50 to $25.

But if you don’t want to wait and take a chance on products going out of stock, and you are on a strict budget, there are two new Fire TV streamers that may prove perfect for your needs: the Fire TV Stick Lite and the Fire TV Stick.

The Fire TV Stick Lite

This pick offers 1080 streaming with HDR support and currently costs $30. You’ll find you can access tens of thousands of channels on it, including Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube, and you can use Alexa to easily find what you want to watch. This is the perfect basic Fire TV stick for streaming TV, movies, and music and, although it doesn’t include TV controls, does come with Alexa Voice Remote Lite.

If you need a few more features, the new Fire TV Stick provides faster streaming in full HD, with an Alexa Voice Remote control that controls TV power and volume. It also has home theater audio with Dolby Atmos, so this is the pick if you want to feel like you’re sitting in a theater. At just $40, this one is slightly pricier than the Fire TV Stick Lite, but still $10 cheaper than the Fire TV Stick 4K.

There’s always the possibility that these newer devices will drop even further in price on Prime Day. You can take a chance, snag an Amazon Prime membership, and wait to see the deals pour in on October 13 and 14 (though remember: items sell quickly). But even at the list price, these are two streaming devices that are worth considering if you love the convenience of a Fire Stick, but aren’t ready to pay Fire Stick prices.
