Amazon plans for expansion continue!

The Seattle-based company is ramping up its delivery capabilities amid the novel coronavirus outbreak. And for that we are so thankful!
The retail giant, whose Prime program was impacted by the first wave of the virus, aims to open as many as 1,500 small warehouses across the country--many of them in suburban locations--to meet the demand.

The company is currently battling it out against Walmart in the monthly subscription space for fast product delivery. (Walmart Plus just launched a cheaper price compared to Amazon Prime this month!)
Chief executive Jeff Bezos is investing *billions* in the new warehouses and other transportation capability improvements.

If you recall, during the pandemic as most people switched their shopping to completely online and the demand for home and cleaning items such as toilet paper and Clorox spike, Amazon had to change it's two-day delivery promise to Prime members.
Since that gaffe, the company has hired 175,000 more workers.
