The Seattle-based marketplace announced that its new London convenience grocery store will have a "just walk out" model, meaning you don't have to wait online to scan items or pay.
Customers can simply exit the new U.K. store and will be charged for their items via a QR code scan. All of which happens virtually without guests ever taking out their wallets!
At that point, the items are stored in a virtual "basket," and when shoppers leave with those items their Amazon account is automatically charged. You even get a receipt sent via email. This is amazing!

The store is stocked with thousands of with "by Amazon" brands in the category of grocery, prepared food, household goods, flowers and magazines.
"The Amazon Fresh store will offer customers everything they'd want from their local neighborhood grocery store with an experience that allows shoppers to simply take what they want and just walk out," the company said in a release.

This isn't Amazon's first foray into contactless shopping. There are Amazon Go convenience stores that use cameras and proprietary AI technology to allow customers to grab and go. Find a location near you.
