Amazon Just Made The Most Heartbreaking Announcement Ever–We Can’t Believe It!

During an earnings call with the media last Thursday, Amazon finance chief Brian Olsavsky finally confirmed the Prime Day delay in the U.S., as many had been wondering what would come of this monumental promotion amid the crisis.

Olsavsky revealed to journalists that Prime Day would be held in the fourth quarter this year.

We don't know whether to laugh or cry. India already had their Prime Day on August 6th and 7th, so why hasn't a specific date has been announced for the U.S.?

In case you missed it, Prime Day is filled with flash sales on everything from electronics (ie. major Kindle and Echo deals), men's, women's and kid's clothing and accessories (highlights like 50% off J.Crew), beauty products (like the now-cancelled Clarisonic brush) and more.

Olsavsky didn't give an indicate what day or even what month in the fourth quarter the event would fall on (it's typically a two-day holiday).

Asides from asserting that the company is still committed to Prime Day and that it's working closely with its selling partners to ensure its a success, sadly, he revealed little else during the call. We'll just have to continue sitting on the edge of our seats!
