20th Century Studios just released the trailer for the movie Amsterdam and it definitely has a star-studded cast. Expected to premiere in November 2022, the new film from David O. Russell will feature famous celebrities such as Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, Chris Rock, Rami Malek, Robert De Niro, and more.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amsterdam is “an original crime epic” and it tells the story of “a tight-knit group of people who find themselves at the center of one of the most shocking secret plots in American history.” Based on the description provided by 20th Century Studios on their YouTube channel, “A lot of this actually happened.” So interesting!

As a matter of fact, one of our biggest takeaways from the trailer is that the movie also stars 11-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift. Yup, that’s right. The 32-year-old singer-songwriter is making a comeback on the big screen, following her acting roles in Cats (2019), The Giver (2014), The Lorax (2012), and Valentine’s Day (2010).
In an article published by People, “During her appearance, Swift is seen wearing red lipstick with her hair in an intricate up-do. Her character, who seems to be crying, wears a dress and hat consistent with ’30s fashion.”
Obviously, the internet was quick to react with their thoughts on Swift’s cameo. One user tweeted, “She’s going to win an Oscar OMG I’m gonna cry when it [happens].” Another one commented, “It’s over for Gaga.”
