Amy Robach celebrated the end of Dry January by losing weight and enjoying a glass of wine. Along with abstaining from alcohol for the entire past month, the television reporter, 51, and her boyfriend T.J. Holmes made a commitment to run at least two miles every day.
In an Instagram post for her 617K followers, Robach revealed that cutting back on drinking helped her get a trimmer physique. “Dry January combined with daily runs and keeping my carb count low, meant I was able to shed some extra lbs I put on post NYC marathon,” she captioned her February 1st roundup post that featured pics of her and Holmes, 46, on their runs together.

The former Good Morning America co-hosts, who frequently run marathons and half-marathons, will begin incorporating alcohol back into their lifestyle while still maintaining their training regimen, Robach explained. “We are still doing our training runs following the @higdonmarathon four days a week and our rest days we just knock out 2 milers,” she noted on IG.
In the new snaps, Robach can be seen donning black leggings and a cropped puffer jacket, showcasing her tiny waist and slim figure. The pair also recently said that they joined the yearly challenge upon realizing they were consuming excessive amounts of alcohol.

Holmes confessed on their podcast to consuming up to 18 alcoholic drinks per day after he and Robach were terminated from their positions at ABC due to their extramarital relationship.
“Now we will run at 8 or 9 in the morning …. and I come back and we have a beer,” Holmes said. He added that they would “run to fun,” with the end destination after their joint exercise session being a bar.

Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes Reportedly ‘Bonded’ Over Drinking, According To Insiders
During lunch, Holmes admitted that he planned to have a minimum of two more drinks unless he had pressing engagements. The journalist added that he could then “easily have a drink in [his] hand from two in the afternoon until seven, eight, nine, ten at night.”
Following news of their affair breaking, Robach said she felt ashamed and “embarrassed” for consuming over 30 drinks per week. Last month, she dished: “I don’t think I’ve ever gone a full year where I drink every single day, and that was 2023 for me.”

“It wasn’t that I was getting wasted or drunk or any of that. It was just keeping a buzz going all day or at least keeping a relaxed state of mind in a heightened, anxious year,” she went on.
Sources also reportedly told Page Six that the couple bonded over alcohol. “They’d have drinks all day after meetings,” one insider allegedly dished, as another, according to the publication, deemed Holmes to be “well-lubricated when he was socializing.”
