Amy Robach’s Friends Are Reportedly ‘Not On Board’ With T.J. Holmes Relationship And Think She’s Being ‘Impulsive’ After ABC Firing

Several months have passed since the shocking affair scandal between Good Morning America reporters Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes first broke in November 2022.
During this time, the two former GMA3 co-hosts have seemingly confirmed their long-rumored romance with photographed outings (and plenty of PDA), both were pulled from their jobs at ABC, and the two also underwent divorce proceedings from their respective spouses: actor Andrew Shue and attorney Marilee Fiebig.
Friends of Robach, 50, are reportedly less than pleased with this turn of events, and their pal’s relationship with Holmes, 45, an allegedly notorious cheater who is rumored to have had numerous affairs throughout his time at the broadcasting company.
Page Six reports that an insider dished that Robach and her ex-husband’s mutual friends “aren’t on board with TJ and Amy.” The source supposedly told the outlet that Shrue— Robach’s ex— was “too classy” for the affair scandal, and that the news was tough to swallow for many since “everyone loved Andrew.”
A friend of the former couple told the publication, “There’s not anybody who doesn’t like Andrew. He’s a really nice person and he’s a good guy — so nice, and so kind and generous.” Another source added that while Robach followed her heart in her decision to get into a romantic relationship with Holmes, one of her major faults is being too impulsive.
“One of her flaws: She falls in love with people — friends and men — and maybe she thinks a little too much on impulse. She’s a bit impulsive,” they said. Others allegedly noted that while Robach has good intentions, she often “follows her feelings” and “usually gets what she wants.”
Some of Robach’s buddies also said to Page Six that they fear that her and Holmes’ fiery fling won’t last longer than a few months (and that she possibly gave up her career from an untrustworthy partner). Those who know her well reportedly expressed that “she’s painting a picture of how happy in love they are,” but that it doesn’t feel like it’ll truly last.
After being fired, Robach is supposedly “still saying this is it… [they’re] the real deal, but it’s starting to feel maybe more like — instead of [her] being a firm believer [of their love], now it’s more like she’s trying to convince herself that’s the case,” one source said. Another noted that they “love each other” and allegedly described them to be “best friends.”
They added, “They’re two consenting adults who ended up loving each other. They were both going through their own hell [in difficult marriages]. They’ve been there for each other.”
