Through a series of throwback photos on Instagram, comedian Amy Schumer sounded a cautionary note to people in their 20s about the drawbacks of aging (humorously, of course). In the first two shots, the I Feel Pretty actress appears radiant and youthful, dressed in a mini black-and-purple bandage dress at a red carpet event in 2012.
Schumer, 42, then added a more recent snapshot that shows her hooked up to an IV, wearing a hospital gown, and with disheveled hair and a worried expression. “Warning 20 somethings I looked like this at your age. Swipe. Life is coming for you,” she wrote in her October 4th caption for her 13.1 million followers.

On her Instagram Story, the Only Murders in the Building star shared the same pics, and wrote: "Girls in your 20s guess what? I looked like you too. Life is coming for you b–ches." While fans can tell that the first two glowy snaps of Schumer are from over a decade ago, the other photo of the stand-up comic in the hospital was not accompanied by any explanation about the time or context.
However, the mom of one's followers were quick to sweetly reassure her of her inner, outer and "timeless" beauty in the comments section of her post. "Love you in all shapes and sizes," one wrote as another added: "She is grace and Beauty." Others concurred with Schumer's sentiment that the process of aging can occur in a mere instant.
"It happens SUDDENLY too. Overnight," one commented as someone else added: "It’s all fun and games until your 4th decade." Many also praised Schumer for always hilariously and candidly "keeping it real" on social media about everything from aging to plastic surgery to "bad" tattoos. "I just looove how you show the world the true colours of life," another fan wrote.
In addition to Schumer's funny and witty posts about appearance, style and getting older that many find to be "relatable," others love seeing her share glimpses of her life at home with husband, chef Chris Fischer and their 4-year-old son, Gene.
